Each year, Atlanta Postal Credit Union (APCU) helps sponsor the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, Georgia. For ten days each March, festival-lovers are treated to one of the most extravagant displays of springtime color and blooms in the nation’s Cherry Blossom Capital of the World.

This year’s 28th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival featured many events, including: parades, concerts, dances, arts and crafts, fashion shows, fireworks, and much, much more. Included in the line-up of popular Cherry Blossom Festival activities is the annual Third Street Park festivities. During the Third Street Park festivities, visitors are treated to concerts and performances, free soft drinks and Cherries & Cream ice cream, and complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides. As the honorary sponsor of 2010’s Third Street festivities, Atlanta Postal Credit Union added to the fun and excitement by handing out thousands of pink pig key chains to all attendees. “There is a strong sense of community here in Macon, and it truly is a pleasure and an honor to be part of this community and the Cherry Blossom Festival”, stated Moira Lacey, Manager of APCU’s Macon Branch.
